Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's divorce has reportedly taken a turn for the worst. The estranged couple - who separated last November after six years of marriage - are now said to be locked in a bitter battle over their enormous fortune.
Following the 'Two And A Half Men' star's affair with 22-year-old San Diego-based administrative assistant Sara Leal, the couple split. A close source told The New York Post: "(They) are trying to negotiate a settlement out of court and out of the public eye. They still haven't reached an agreement over money, because Ashton earned substantially more during the final years of their marriage, but he doesn't want to pay a large settlement."
The 34-year-old actor is currently the highest paid star on TV earning £440,000 (R6 000 000) per episode and in total is worth £87 million (R 1.2 000 000 000), while Demi is worth £94 million (R1.35 000 000 000).
Another source explained: "The discussion could boil over into a public court battle."
Previously, Ashton was said to be relunctant to budge on the financial terms of their separation and how they should divide their assets.
A source close to the case said the actor is "so cheap" and has refused to sign off on the paperwork so they can finally go their separate ways.
Ashton has already moved on from the Moore and is reportedly living with his new girlfriend, 'Ted' actress, Mila Kunis, whom he has known for 14 years as they previously starred in the hit comedy series 'That 70s Show' together.
We’re not sure how long this battle will last - but we’re keen to see what happens next!
