In the wake of Demi filing for divorce, Ashton Kutcher has tweeted that he will “forever cherish” the time he has spent with Demi Moore.
The actress announced yesterday that she was to end her six-year union with the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star, who was accused of sleeping with Sara Leal in September. Ashton has since admitted being wed is “difficult”, paying tribute to his ex-spouse. He tweeted, "I will forever cherish the time I spend with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and light, AK."
Demi expressed her “great sadness” when she announced her marriage is over but said she is hoping to “move forward” with her life. Her formal statement to the public reads, "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."
It's always sad when relationships end, but with rumours of Ashton's infidelities brewing since 2010, we're glad that Demi is holding her head up high. Here's to self-respecting, courage-filled GLAM girls all over the world!
