Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino admits there's been ''a lot of rainy days'' since leaving rehab. The 'Jersey Shore' star recently completed a two-week stint in Utah's Cirque Lodge, where he received treatment for his addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol-related issues, and while he is getting his life back on track, he admits it's very difficult at times.
He said: ''Ever since I've been out, I'm not gonna lie ... it's not easy. But at the same time, where I'm at right now, I'm at a good place. But it took a little bit to get there. In the beginning? A lot of rainy days, so to speak. A lot of rainy days.''
Mike, 29, says the first few days of detox were very hard because he never thought he'd get better. He told MTV: ''Your first day is detox. It's not a pleasurable experience at all. I'd wake up and just be extremely disappointed with myself. Like, 'I can't believe I got here. How did I get here?"
In March, Mike confessed he was addicted to prescription pills and was getting help. In a post on his Facebook page, the reality TV star said: ''I wanted to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion."
On the road to recovery? Good on you Mike!
