A It all comes down to a great dress and since you’ll be making a speech, you’ll want to stand out, although you never want to look like you’re trying to upstage the bride! Look for a feminine, classic silhouette, nothing too revealing, and choose a bold colour and a beautiful fabric, such as silk or lace. Heels are a must, but don’t wear spindly ones if it’s an outdoor affair, as you’ll spend the whole event trying to negotiate the grass (in that situation, wedges are a good option). Try a vintage-look faux fur stole or statement chandelier earrings for extra drama. And don’t overshare – if you’re going for a low neckline, your hemline should be low, too. High hemline? Then make the neckline high as well.
