After both Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake have been asked on dates via YouTube (and said yes!), we’re all secretly wishing we’d had the guts to ask JT out ourselves! And now the lucky soldier who got the Trousersnake’s attention has dished the dirt on her fabulous night.
Corporal Kelsey De Santis, the envy of every girl wordwide, described her night with the singer at the Marine Corps Ball as “wonderful. A really good experience”.
Speaking about the moment she first laid eyes on her date, Kelsey told America’s ‘The Today Show’, “He had a really big smile on his face, and so did I.” Er, we can tell you right now, we wouldn’t just be smiling, we’d practically be salivating!
But the lucky lady wasn’t lucky enough to nab a kiss – “As we said our goodbyes, it was me and our entire group. We just all gave hugs and parted our ways. He was a complete gentleman.”
Afterwards, JT took to his blog to say how Kelsey was his “hero”. He wrote, “She seemed to me to be so humble and honest … Very cool. She also simultaneously seemed like she was nervous about the whole evening and if I was going to enjoy myself. ‘Are you ok?’ she asked 2 or 3 times. ‘I hope you are having fun. I know you will once my crew of friends get here to the table.’ I have to tell you, it’s not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she’s more worried about if I’m having fun or if I’m comfortable! It hit me all of a sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom … Humble, concerned for others before themselves … This was the type of person our Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away. Thank you Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. Thank you for inviting me. And, thank you for being my hero. (sic)”.
It’s so great to see our favourite celebs being downright normal! And if an everyday girl can bag a night with Justin, maybe that dream date with our hot crush doesn’t need to be a distant dream after all…
