Florence set to launch her new jewellery line

Florence Welch has launched her first ever jewellery line.

The ‘You’ve Got the Love’ hitmaker’s chic collection has been inspired by her powerful music, and features necklaces, rings, rustic earrings and cuffs priced between R300 and R500.

The Florence + the Machine frontwoman, 26, has released the line on her e-commerce website, Flotique, and she may be hoping some fans will snap up the R300 heart-shaped Heartlines locket necklace in time for Valentine’s Day (14.02.13) later this month.

It’s not the 26-year-old singer’s first foray into the world of fashion. Last year, she had a series of fall outfits designed for her US and European ‘Ceremonials’ tour – which kicked off on September 14, 2012 – by Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini. She explained: “I was immediately drawn to the drama of the collection when I first saw it on the runway. I am so grateful to Frida and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci again.”

Florence also recently admitted she is keen to have her own clothing range, but admits she would want to spend a lot of time perfecting it. She said: “[Having a clothing range] really appeals to me. I would definitely think about it in the future. I’m very particular about what I like though, so I’d really need to spend some time on it.”
