The 26-year-old actress was left devastated when her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, died from a heroin and alcohol overdose on July 13 but has been slowly getting on with her life thanks to the support of her close friends.
She tweeted on Wednesday: “Spending the day surrounded by great friends..Hope you all are having a good day. Sending lots of love to you all (sic).”
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Cory’s pal Sophia Bush admitted the actor’s death was even more shocking because he had entered rehab in March when he suffered a relapse. She told Huff Post Live: “I don’t know how to phrase it because you don’t want to say you’re expecting that from anyone, but sadly I think there are some people who we watch as they sort of unravel, and if something like that were to happen, you’d be sad but not necessarily shocked. You’d just be so sad that they never got help. It’s, I think, more emotional for the people who knew and loved him because he was working toward that. He had just gone to get help.”
