Simon Cowell will spend Christmas with Sinitta onboard his yacht in Barbados, instead of with his pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman.
The X Factor boss has invited the ‘So Macho’ singer and her two children, Magdalena, eight, and Zac, seven, onboard his yacht in Barbados over the festive season, while his pregnant girlfriend, who is expected to give birth in February, will jet over to New York to spend the holidays with her seven-year-old son Adam.
Simon and Sinitta, who dated on and off during the 1980s, fell out earlier this year after the brunette beauty revealed she’d aborted his child 30 years ago, but the pair have put their differences aside and will enjoy Christmas day (25.12.13) in each other’s company before meeting with Lauren to see in the New Year.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It has been a tough year for Simon and Sinitta.
“Simon and Lauren were both upset when she spoke about aborting his baby and it did rock the boat. But the trio have sorted out their differences and are looking forward to spending New Year together.
“Lauren wanted to be with her son on Christmas Day and was happy for Simon to spend it with Sinitta, her two kids and Sinitta’s partner Jason.
“Lauren has given it all her blessing.
“Simon has forgiven Sinitta. She has always been a huge part of his life and he would never want to ruin their friendship.
“Lauren also respects how important Sinitta is to Simon They will spend the day aboard his yacht, The Slipstream, which will cruise around Barbados.”
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old socialite’s divorce from former spouse Andrew, whom she shares custody of Adam with, was finalised earlier this month, and she and Simon, 54, are expected to announce their engagement in the near future.
