GLAM chat with Adeola Ariyo

Meet GLAMOUR favourite and Elizabeth Arden’s new brand ambassador for Visible Difference, Skin Illuminating and foundation brands across Africa, Adeola Ariyo. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria and started modelling in London when she was 13. She made the top 5 in the Face of Africa model search plus she’s been featured in many magazines in South Africa, including GLAMOUR. We recently had a chat with her and talked about her beauty regime and favourite products to use. Steal her beauty secrets here!

My everyday beauty look is…

Natural. BB Cream, a little bit of Mascara and some Eight Hour Cream on the lips to add that extra shine.

My glow secret is…

I use the Elizabeth Arden Skin Illuminating products. I cleanse, tone, moisturize with them every day and night, leaving my skin bright and fresh.

My biggest beauty fail was…

Drawing on my eyebrows. It took me such a long time to perfect the art of drawing on eyebrows without making them look unnatural. But now, I’m an expert at it. Practice makes perfect right?

I wish I’d invented.. .

“Stainless” makeup! Whether it’s foundation, blush, lipstick, eye shadow – if you brush against white clothing it always shows a bit.

The best beauty advice I’d ever received was…

To always wash my face every night no matter how tired I am. To make sure I do always do this I buy white bed sheets – it will teach you quickly to wash your face before getting into bed.

My number one beauty rule is…

To always use sunscreen. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour sunscreen is amazing! It doesn’t leave my face looking grey, instead it leaves a nice glow on it.

My easiest makeup trick is…

Applying primer before foundation. It’s a small step but it makes a huge difference, making your make up last all day!

My go-to red carpet look is…

A nice natural look, with a pop of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red on the lip just to add a bit of colour.

My hair regime entails…

Washing every week, and co-washing (washing with just a conditioner) once during the week. I also spray a leave in conditioner on it every morning to leave it feeling soft at all times.

My favourite part of my body is…

My cheekbones! I absolutely love my cheekbones.
