HOW TO: Create ‘rock ‘n roll’ locks

Loris Azzaro autumn-winter 15/16 couture show was a stand out for many reasons – transparent fabrics, crystal decorations, embroideries… But what stood out most for us was definitely the lust-worthy hair sported by the models!

The sharp rock ‘n roll ‘do was created by Damien Boissinot for Moroccanoil. He was inspired by Studio 54, a famous New York club in the late 70’s. It was a chic scene all about night fever and music.

We’re excited to say that Boissinot spilled the inside scoop on how to achieve this a-list look, and of course we’re going to share it with you!

1 Texturise

According to Boissinot, the secret to this look is to give a dry texture to your hair. First, he applied Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse on the lengths and ends to moisturise the hair and add texture to prepare for styling.

2 Volumise

Boissinot then applied Moroccanoil Root Boost at the roots to give volume to finer hair.

3 Define

He brushed the hair thoroughly while applying hairspray from the mid-lengths to the ends to discipline the hair and give a toning effect. Then he applied a small amount of Moroccanoil Molding Cream from the top of the head down to the ends to control the style and add definition.

4 Finish

He finished with a light spray of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to create a controlled yet natural-looking style.
