We’re super excited about Levi’s new campaign We Are Original! The brand has collaborated with local influencers Twiggy from Sleepless In Soweto, Siya from The Threaded Man, Maitelea and photography trio, I SEE A DIFFERENT YOU. The campaign forms part of a consumer call-to-action for the Levi’s We Are Original Casting, taking place this Saturday 23 April. Levi’s fans are encouraged to style their favourite Levi’s and spend a day at Shine Studios in Braamfontein where they’ll be shot by I SEE A DIFFERENT YOU. To up the fashion stakes even more, entrants stand a chance of being featured in the We Are Original campaign and win a year’s supply of Levi’s.

It’s official – the MRP

model search is now on! As a brand driven to nurture new talent in fashion, MRP together with Ice Models is proud to announce their model search, #mrpfuturefaces. #mrpfuturefaces seeks to discover South Africa’s freshest faces and feature them in MRP’s next summer campaign to be shot later this year. Aspiring models between the ages of 16 and 24 are called to enter online at MRP.com by submitting a full-length picture before entries close on 1 May 2016. Judges from both MRP and Ice Models will then select which contestants will move forward to the nationwide callbacks held in Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Mpumalanga from 13 May 2016. After the callbacks, 20 finalists will be chosen to attend a model boot camp held in Cape Town. The judging panel will then vote for their favourite face from 30 May 2016, and the winners – one male and female – will be announced on 3 June 2016. With her latest collection of jewellery, Woman, designer Katherine-Mary Pichulik

sets out to honour the heroines of the seventies, “women with warrior-like sass” like Angela Davis and Pam Grier. South African theatre audiences are in for a treat as the renowned one-woman international play, The Woman Who Would Be King, is set to make it South African début in Cape Town! The fictional play is written and performed by Nigerian-American actress and producer, Esosa E, and will showcase at Alexander Bar, Café and Theatre this April. It’s a story rich in African history inspired by the life of Hatshepsut, the first female Pharaoh and her journey to the throne. Previews for The Woman Who Would Be King take place on Wednesday 20 April and Thursday 21 April. The show officially opens on Monday 25 April and runs until Saturday 30 April.
