House of ZS is a luxury Mediterranean inspired jewellery & accessory brand founded in 2015. All designs are based on the latest international jewellery and accessory trends, crafted from high-quality sparkling crystals, sterling silver and 9k gold plating making it affordable for all.

The jewellery is designed by Zakiyyah Smailovic, who was born in Cape Town and raised abroad. The young entrepreneur left the gold investment industry in 2014 and found herself taking a huge leap and challenging herself in a new direction to start her own jewellery and accessory brand by year end of 2014.

The brand was inspired and designed whilst travelling and living on the coast of the Mediterranean for a short period. Entirely self-taught, design came as a second nature to her while she was completing her Bcom Marketing degree.

Beyond the jewels, there is something greater ZS attains on creating. The pieces are all created each bearing a personalised message with a purpose to uplift and motivate the wearer. Their mission is to empower women around the globe, one sparkly piece at a time as a daily reminder to be fearless, to dream and to be optimistic.

House of ZS jewellery is stocked online as well as within exclusive luxury boutiques in Cape Town, Dubai and a few other stockists worldwide. For more information, visit the House of ZS website.

Belvedere‘s natural integrity, captivating beauty and innovation all lend to its incessant modernity. The world’s original luxury vodka has expressed its edgy personality by taking risks in the pursuit of creativity and excellence. Belvedere Pink Grapefruit is the refreshing and vibrant result.

Belvedere Pink Grapefruit is not just flavoured with grapefruits; Spanish spring lemons and fresh ginger also make up its unique taste. Like other flavours in the Belvedere range, the base spirit is quadruple distilled in the Zyrardow Polmos distillery just outside Warsaw from Dankowskie Zlote rye. The rye distillate is then sent by tanker from Zyrardow to the Distillerie des Terres Rouges in France’s Limousin region. Here the whole pink grapefruits, Spanish lemons and fresh ginger are separately macerated and then redistilled. These are then blended to make a concentrated infusion before being sent back to Zyrardow to be blended with more Dankowskie Zlote rye base spirit.

By steeping these fresh ingredients directly into this luxurious spirit, Belvedere ensures that these vibrant flavours are delicately and deliciously drawn out. The resulting flavoured spirit is hydrated back to bottling strength with the distillery’s own purified artesian well water.

Lifestyle brand Cotton On BODY has launched a coffee scrub made from beans grown and cared for by women in Southern Uganda. All proceeds from the sale of the scrub will go towards the Cotton On Foundation and its local and international projects, that educate and empower women to earn an income and support their families.

The idea was born in 2012 when the Cotton On Foundation began working with locals to establish coffee farms in Southern Uganda, an initiative which saw the launch of Mannya Trading Company in 2014 which has since become a sustainable income stream for local Ugandans.

On a trip to Mannya, Cotton On Body Trend Director Stephanie Keen planted the first coffee seedlings with the Foundation team four years ago. “We got on the back of a truck and drove out to the coffee plantation and spent the day digging holes and planting the seedlings. They put a basket on my head and I could hardly hold it with my arms, and then I saw a Ugandan woman beside me who was digging holes in the heat with a child on her back the entire time – that really stuck with me. It showed the women aren’t afraid of hard work and they’re dedicated to providing for their families and creating a more sustainable future.”

Fragrance brand, Playgirl deodorant has topped the charts as the biggest brand in the female, high fragrance aerosol category.  Brand manager Matthew Dees says that according to the latest national Nielsen sales figures, Playgirl commands a 10% share of the category officially placing it as the biggest brand (in the segment) in terms of value.

“Playgirl has had an epic rise through the ranks and is now also driving overall growth in the category with an annual growth of 45%, which is incredible,” says Dees. He attributes the growth in part to the release of the popular new fragrance Desire, which comes packaged in an attractive and eye-catching gold can.

“Desire launched in July last year and has really helped to take the brand to this leadership position,” says Dees. Fresh, floral and woody, Playgirl Desire is seductive and offers a tempting, sweet base note.

Playgirl Desire is one of the successful Playgirl line-up of spray deodorants which include Love Is, Passionate, Flirtatious, Love Potion, Forbidden, Temptation and Seduction. “The range boasts a fragrance for every mood – and they’re all bound to improve the mood of those around you!’ says Dees.
