4 Purse-friendly pampering techniques

Pampering doesn’t have to come at a high price. Don’t miss these DIY tricks and purse-friendly products.

1 Hair

DIY deep-conditioning treatment

The good ol’ mayonnaise treatment will help give your hair a moisture boost. All you need? A jar of mayonnaise and some motivation!

- Dampen your hair with warm water – your hair shouldn’t be dripping wet. Generously apply the mayonnaise, working from your roots to the tips.

- Use about 5 tbsp for long hair, 3 tbsp for medium-length hair and 2 tbsp for short hair, making sure

to cover your entire head.

- Wrap all of your hair in an unused plastic packet or a shower cap. This creates heat, opening the hair follicles to allow the mayonnaise to penetrate even deeper.

- Leave the mixture on for at least 20 minutes so that it can fully sink in. Leave it on even longer if your hair is badly damaged.

- Gently wash out the mayonnaise with warm water. Work through each section of your hair, making sure that absolutely all of the mayonnaise is out.

- For an even more intense hair treatment, add an egg or a tablespoon of olive or avocado oil. And say hello to gorgeously glossy locks!
