#MatricDanceMonday: This competition could make your dreams come true!

Are you an aspiring fashion designer? Have you always dreamed of your Matric dance and had that one perfect dress in mind? Then we have just the competition for you!

G12 Runway is a platform for young design students to showcase their creative skills, while giving back to the community in the most stylish way possible. Each of the top three students chosen stands a chance of winning amazing prizes to further their career, including sewing machines and business classes to help kickstart their fashion journey.

The competition also gives back to young, deserving Matric girls unable to afford designer dresses. Open to all qualifying entrants, the competition gifts three winners with specially made Matric dance dresses, created by each of the winning designers, as well a complete glam makeover from head to toe. Because everyone deserves to feel like a princess!

Take a look at last year’s design students, their winning sketches, and the glamorous Matric winners who wore their gowns:

Designer Maruwaan Galant, Cape Town College of Fashion Design. Worn by  Sihle Mvumu.

Designer Victoria Ongansie, Elizabeth Galloway Fashion Design School. Worn by Shauna Simon.

Designer Janu Steyn, Elizabeth Galloway Fashion Design School. Worn by Diana Maponye.
