In cinemas now: The Glass Castle

Inspired by the memoir of the same name, The Glass Castle is a remembrance of the childhood of former New York gossip columnist Jeannette Walls, one marked by poverty, uncertainty and neglect. As one of four children of an abusive, alcoholic father (Woody Harrelson) and a selfish artist mother (Naomi Watts), Jeannette, played by the Oscar-winning Brie Larson, learns to fend for herself and care for her sisters and brother at a young age, even as they move from town to town, being kept out of school and often left hungry for days.

This American drama directed by Destin Daniel Cretton will leave you feeling moved and inspired, so make sure you get to the cinemas this weekend!
