Miley Cyrus teared up while writing Hillary Clinton a thank you note 😢

It’s hard to keep up with some of America’s night talk shows from here – but if there’s one show we always watch, it would be the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. More specifically last night’s episode.

If you don’t know, Miley Cyrus is currently doing a mini-residence on Jimmy’s programme, she shows up every evening to interact with his guests – and last night’s guest was no one other then Hillary Clinton.

Yesterday in the segment of the show where Jimmy writes funny thank you notes to random subjects, companies or people, the notes were directed to Hillary. And these notes were not only funny, but inspiring and very tear-worthy too.

Some of the female writers of the Tonight Show along with Miley Cyrus took on to thank Hillary – the singer went last and got really emotional, saying:

“Thank you, Hillary, for being a constant beacon of strength, hope, and determination for me and millions of other young women. You’ve been a role model and an inspiration and a voice of reason in uncertain times. I could go on and on, but I’d like to get right to the point… Can I give you a hug?”

For the record, she did get that hug. And then Hillary spontaneously did her own ‘thank you note’ saying:

“Thank you, Miley, the Tonight Show writers, and all of the women and young girls out there. You are smart, strong, and deserving of every opportunity. Together, we’ve made our voices heard, we’ve done great things, and we’ve come a long way. But as Miley would say, we can’t stop, and we won’t stop.”
