Ariana Grande made her first public appearance in 6 months

Ariana Grande has been laying low for a while, but on Sunday, she made her first public appearance in six months looking absolutely stunning. According to  E! News, the pop star showed up at Madonna’s Oscars after-party with her boyfriend, Mac Miller. She was rocking platinum hair (sans famous ponytail), an off-the-shoulder LBD with feathers coming out of the bodice, and thigh-high black boots.

Ariana’s last public appearance was reportedly at the benefit concert for Charlottesville in September 2017, where she performed with artists including Pharrell Williams and gave an inspiring speech about unity and progress. “I just wanted to say really quickly how proud I am to be a part of a generation that is so passionate about creating a change and for making things better,” she said at the event. “To be a part of a generation that won’t be silent, that refuses to be silent, I’m so proud. So thank you, I love you, keep using your voices and making this a safer place for each other.”

According to  E!, Ariana was last expected to be seen at the 2018 BRIT Awards in late February, where she was supposed to be performing a surprise tribute to the victims of the attack at her concert in Manchester last May. Unfortunately, she became sick at the last minute, and her doctor reportedly ordered her not to fly overseas, so Oasis singer Liam Gallagher subbed in.

Ariana’s appearance at Madonna’s after-party, however, may not be a one-off. In fact, it could be a sign that she’s almost ready to show her fans the new music she’s been teasing on Instagram since January.  People reported that last Friday, two days before the Oscars, that the pop star previewed a few songs for a small number of guests at a closed listening party in Los Angeles. Whenever she chooses to release her new songs, we’ll be here for it.
