Twitter reacts to shocking video of abusive baseball player

We were enraged and appalled when we saw Twitter go abuzz with video clips and commentary about the disturbing video of Danry Vasquez beating his girlfriend. On Wednesday, the professional baseball player was let go from his Pennsylvania team after the video of him beating his then-girlfriend in a stadium stairwell surfaced.

Watch part of the video here:

Video of Danry Vasquez beating his gf in a stadium has surfaced. Vasquez played baseball for the Corpus Christi Hooks at the time the incident took place in 2016. He was let go, but faced no jail time. Lancaster Barn Stormers just released him. #danacortezshow pic.twitter.com/mwSJnx3Sb6

See what Twitter had to say about the video:

That Danry Vasquez footage made me sick to my stomach. The worst part is that his girlfriend didn’t even act like this was out of the ordinary. Unreal. I beg for every person experiencing this to step up and find the strength to fight back. Shit is not acceptable.

Saddest thing about that video is how “normal” it appears for her. Domestic violence is a disease #DanryVasquez

The video of Danry Vasquez beating his girlfriend is horrifying. Hope MLB and all other baseball leagues never let this guy play.
