Oscars 2018: The nominees get $100,000 swag bags on top of being rich, famous, and talented

Even if you don’t envision yourself as an actor parading down a red carpet, we’re willing to bet you  do envision yourself enjoying free stuff. You deserve it—and according to  Page Six, this year’s nominees at the Oscars will be walking away with some serious cost-free swag after the ceremony.

In a weird way, opulent freebies have become as synonymous with the Oscars as the movies themselves, because brand upon brand upon brand has astutely taken the opportunity to advertise at the star-studded event. So, what are we going to see this year? And  who can we convince to take us to the ceremony? Specifically, every nominee will be gifted approximately $100,000 worth of items that conveniently fit into a tote bag. (The agency in charge of creating the swag bags, Distinctive Assets, didn’t confirm everything to  Page Six, so it may differ when the day of the ceremony arrives.)

Extravagant trips to Tanzania, Hawaii, or Greece are considered the hottest gifts of the bunch, as is a “24k gold facial,” a free “gum rejuvenation” dental procedure, multiple sessions with a popular celebrity trainer, a “conflict-free” diamond necklace, as well as an “18-minute phobia-relief session.” (Please, tell us more about that last one.) However, there are some simpler items to complement the sheer opulence of these aforementioned goodies, such as Mexican sodas and fresh California oranges.

Unbelievably, this swag bag doesn’t even come close to what celebs were handed in 2017 Last year, the bag was worth an astounding $260,000 (!) and featured everything from a weeklong Italian holiday in Lake Como to organic maple syrup and underarm sweat patches. Ah, the glamorous life of an actor, indeed.
