We might assume that, as one of the world’s most in-demand models, Bella Hadid doesn’t have much time to spend scrolling through Insta like the rest of us.
But, as it turns out, even the busiest of celebrities feel the need to stand up to internet trolls every now and again.
Over the weekend, Insta fan account @ballahadid posted a side-by-side pic of BFFs Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid in semi-sheer tops, with the caption ‘Kenny or Bella?’
It didn’t take long for nasty comments to come flying in, but one, in particular, caught Bella’s attention.
“2 fake b****** sitting in a tree, first comes the nose job, then come the lips, oh and don’t forget the built in cheeks,” wrote one troll. “lmao y’all tripping fam, money can get you a new face but not a nicer personality which these two girls need.”
Defending their characters, Bella replied, “I wish you would know either of our personalities. And not only that, I wish you would only grasp a heart of your own. Blessings to you sweetheart. Jealousy is a cry for help that I wish I could help you with.”
The user has since deleted the comment, but not before screenshots were taken.
They then revealed how Bella’s reply had opened their eyes, commenting, “@ballahadid it’s all gone girl, but seriously this whole thing has taught me a lot.”
We’re 100% behind Bella on this one – even the biggest celebrities should be able to stand up for themselves.
Plus, we’re totally stealing ‘blessings to you, sweetheart’ to respond to any negativity in our life from now on.
