While most of us didn’t manage to snag a coveted ticket to the royal wedding, Serena Williams took us behind the scenes in the most epic way possible.
The tennis ace, who is one of Meghan Markle’s closest friends, let us get ready with her (sort of), by talking us through her pre-wedding beauty regime on Instagram.
The 36-year-old shared a snap of herself in a towel and urged her fans to check out her Instagram stories to watch her getting ready for the nuptials in Windsor.

Meghan and Serena met back in 2014 when they played flag football at DIRECTV’s Celebrity Beach Bow. Talking to camera, Serena gave us an insight into the pair’s friendship, saying: “‘Hey y’all, so my friend’s getting married today. I’m up super early, well, for me.
“I’ve known her for so many years and I’m so happy for her.”
Joining Serena in the video was Reddit co-founder husband, Alexis Ohanian, 35, and baby daughter, Alexis Olympia, eight months, who is just the absolute cutest.
She asked the little one: ‘Are you coming with mama today? What are you wearing today, honey?’ Sweet!

Serena then indulged in a sheet mask, which is the absolute best way to prep for a big event, in our humble opinion, before having her makeup done professionally. Well, it is the wedding of the year, after all.

She also revealed that her dress still wasn’t ready at midnight last night! Eek! Luckily, her dress was finalised just in time and she looked ethereal in a chic lilac suit on the big day.
