Some people might have been a little surprised to see Victoria Beckham arriving at the royal wedding alongside world leaders and senior royals but it seems VB and Meghan Markle have forged quite the bond.
First, we heard that Meghan was taking fashion advice from Victoria and now the fashion designer has spoken gushingly about the Duchess of Sussex.
Speaking to ES Magazine about Meghan, Victoria said: “Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman, who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest.”
She added that it was a “beautiful, incredible” wedding, noting that the couple looked “so happy”. Aww!
When asked if she was nervous about attending the wedding, which was watched by billions of people, she said: “I wasn’t nervous, no. I was just really honoured to have been invited. I would have been nervous if it had been my day.”
As well as speaking fondly of Meghan, Victoria also gave us an insight into family life, saying she likes to push her children to work hard – and that Harper loves doing her homework so much, she gets up at the crack of dawn.
“She gets up early, does her spelling, does her Kumon. She works hard, but she’s a happy little girl. She’ll make me a coffee, and write me these little notes like ‘Mummy, I love you with all my heart.’” What a cutie!
Earlier this year, it was reported that Meghan enlisted the help of fashion’s elite as she geared up to marry into the royal family.
According to Vanity Fair, the former Suits actress called on fashion powerhouse, Victoria Beckham, to give her wardrobe a revamp.
A source told the magazine: “They get along well and have been in touch recently.
“Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe.
“She loves Victoria’s elegant but smart dresses, so expect her to wear one very soon.”
The reports come after Victoria allegedly recommended her facialist, Sarah Chapman, to Meghan.
Meghan is already a staunch fan of Mrs Beckham’s designs and wore a cashmere sweater by the mother-of-four in her engagement snaps just before Christmas.
