Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson have been spotted hanging out together several times over the past few months. But this week, they were seen engaging in some public displays of affection that have sparked speculation about their status.

Shortly after arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport on Tuesday, the pair were seen by some paparazzi, who captured several photos of Cara keeping her arm around Ashley’s shoulders while they kissed and smiled together. Both actors wore casual, comfy clothes for their travels and, if you look closely, you’ll notice that Ashley was wearing a delicate gold necklace with a tiny letter “C” on it — perhaps a subtle, Taylor Swift-esque shoutout to Cara?
Rumours that Cara and Ashley might be more than friends first cropped up earlier this year when they were photographed holding hands while leaving New York City’s Lucky Strike bar together one night in May. Around the same time, Ashley shared several photos of herself and Cara, her costar in the upcoming film Her Smell, on Instagram.
More recently, per InStyle Australia, Ashley, 28, was there to celebrate Cara’s 26th birthday on August 12; the Pretty Little Liars star reportedly shared photos on her Instagram Story from Cara’s birthday party, as well as a funny face swap of the two of them, where she labeled Cara the “birthday kween.”
Of course, until either Cara or Ashley sets the record straight or acknowledges the dating rumours, they’ll stay just that: unconfirmed rumours. They both have the right to keep their private lives private — and it’s important for the rest of us to respect that choice and allow them to decide when and how (if ever) they want to open up.
