Mzansi reacts to sudden death of actress Shoki Mokgapa

Award-winning actress, Shoki Mokgapa passed away suddenly on Tuesday 25 September 2018.

The actress’ representation released a statement which said that Mokgapi was battling clinical depression and anxiety, which ultimately lead her to commit suicide.

The statement went on to say that a memorial service will be held on Tuesday 2 October 2018.

Shoki has appeared in hit shows such as The Lab on SABC 3 Ashes to Ashes on e.tv,  IntersexionsSwartwater,  Those Who Can’t on SABC2, BBC’s  Silent Witness, as well as  The Looming Tower on Amazon Prime Video. But,  she is best known for her role in Afrikaans feature film, Sink , for which she picked up a coveted SAFTA.

Fans and entertainment industry leaders took to Twitter to pay tribute to the talented starlet.
