It’s celebrations all round in the Mhlongo / Motaung household this week after Mohale landed a character role in the up and coming second season of MTV’s Shuga Down South.
The actor and WITS student who is engaged to Idols SA judge and entertainer, Somizi Mhlongo, will be playing the role of Odirile, a 25-year-old who is no longer accepted by his family because he is gay.
In the new season, Odirile helps Reggie, played by South African actor Given Stuurman, navigate his sexual identity and discover his own life path.
Take a look at the official announcement footage below and don’t forget to catch the premiere of the new season of MTV Shuga Down South on MTV Base on February 12th 2019 at 21:30.

The secret is finally out! I will be joining the cast of #MTVShugaDS as a brand new character named ODIRILE! We're looking forward to a dramatic and equally educational storyline this year and I can't wait to play a part in that.
