17 March is St Patrick’s Day. Thankfully it happens every year and lasts the whole day. It’s a day where we all celebrate being a little bit Irish - be it in blood or in spirit. The fact that St Patrick’s Day is celebrated all around the world is just one way in which we see how being Irish has blended into so many different communities, cultures, and nationalities. And as St Patrick’s Day is celebrated slightly differently wherever you may be in the world shows how easily being Irish mixes with every other culture.

Tullamore D.E.W and Appletiser

Ingredients

  • 50ml
  • 200ml Appletiser
  • 3 slices of green apple

Method

Fill a highball glass with ice

Pleasure the ice by adding 50ml Tullamore D.E.W original

Top up with 200ml of Appletiser

Garnish with a fan of fresh apple slices

Teeling Irish Whiskey

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ parts Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey
  • 4 parts Freshly Brewed Coffee
  • ¾ part Sugar Syrup
  • Heavy cream, lightly whipped

Method

Prewarm a heat proof glass (or mug) with hot water and let it stand for a few minutes.

Pour out the water, and add the Sugar Syrup, Teeling Small Batch, and freshly brewed coffee.

Stir, then top with a layer of lightly whipped heavy cream (pour it over with a back spoon). Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.

Tropical Teeling

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey
  • ¼ part pineapple syrup
  • 4 parts Soda Water
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lime

Method

Add whiskey and pineapple juice to a glass and stir with a bar spoon until mixed.

Add ice. Top with soda water. Squeeze fresh lime.
