Firefish is the latest offering in a string of chic and contemporary eateries and bars by local hospitality group The Kove Collection. Firefish is a completely fresh approach to Seafood cuisine. Situated harbour-side at the V&A Waterfront, Firefish is a serene space from which to observe Cape Town’s most cosmopolitan scene and sample sensational seafood, fresh from the ocean and hot off the grill.
It’s a unique concept: All protein cuts are grilled on the state to the art Josper Charcoal Grill. This hybrid grill burns only top-quality charcoal and operates at an ultra-high temperature to allow us to grill and roast while preserving and enhancing the most delicate flavours.
Select fresh fish or shellfish from ‘The Ice Bar’ and have it prepared ‘Your Way’ with a choice of accouterments (white pepper aioli or lemon-lime butter) and sides (crispy miso fries or soy sesame greens), or opt for an a la carte dish prepared ‘Our Way’ (pan-fried seabass with Champagne, yuzu, miso sauce, pickled ginger and crispy lotus root).
Don’t pass up on the baby miso chicken, beef sirloin, and the spiced carrot cake.
The decor exudes a relaxed elegance that lends itself to dinner with friends and family.
