Who else wants to eat a pizza that's been designed by an SA celeb?

If you love pizza (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?), you’ve probably indulged in some of the delish options on Col’Cacchio’s menu. If you’ve never been to this trendy pizzeria, you’ll now have every reason to try it out! That’s because they teamed up with some of the most influential personalities in SA, for the 2018 Col’Cacchio Celebrity Chef Showdown.

This annual campaign, now in its 10th year, sees celebs creating out-of-the-ordinary yet irresistible pizzas. Each of them is square-shaped and a limited-edition meal, served at all Col’Cacchio eateries across SA and Namibia, until 30 November. What’s so awesome about the collaboration is that it raises funds for the Children’s Hospital Trust, on behalf of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

So, who are the kind-hearted celebs you ask? They are none other than social media influencer Nadia Jaftha, Afrikaans hip-hop artist Jack Parow and culinary master Siba Mtongana. Each of them designed a pizza that’s a nod to their heritage and boasts a combination of toppings that’ll make your mouth water.

Nadia’s, influenced by Cape Malay cooking and named Jou Ma Sala, is a spicy chicken and Masala-infused pizza. Siba also opted for poultry, but her pizza, Sibalicious, was a piquant, sticky chicken treat. Lastly, Jack’s pizza, Wors Tokolosh, was inspired by the much-loved local tradition of braaiing, and is topped with pieces of meat.

R5 of the selling price of their pizzas is going to be donated to charity, to help Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital gather R112 million, for a cutting-edge ER unit. Since 2009, more than R2 million has been collected in support of worthy causes, and this year’s campaign is sure to boost that amount and set the bar rather high for future editions of the Col’Cacchio Celebrity Chef Showdown.
