This year marks Lancôme’s 80th anniversary, and to celebrate the beautiful milestone the gorgeous faces of the French brand along with other equally fabulous A-listers gathered in Paris for the birthday bash. To sum up the night here are eight moments of gorgeousness ie. eight classic beauty lessons we learnt from the pink carpet.
1. You can never go wrong with a classic red lip like (we’re looking at you Isabella Rosselini) . The beauty trend that stands the test of time and looks amazing on EVERYONE. All you have to do is swipe the colour on and you’ve got a whole look.
2. Lupita Nyong’o’s proved that an updo always looks elegant. Her magnificent ‘knobbed’ updo, which she adorably nicknamed her “froses” hairstyle on Instagram bowled us over.
3. A soft fringe like Penelope Cruz’s is chic and oh-so-sexy! Make sure yours frames your face in layers.
4. Lily Collins’ slicked-back-hair-and-red-lips combo was on point. The thing she did to keep it from looking dated: She added a smoky eye.
5. Go bigger! Kate Winslet’s thick, high ponytail caught our eye. The key here is volume: boost your strands with mousse for extra body.
6. Another A-lister who caught our attention? Chrissy Teigen. She was glowing thanks to the subtle highlighter on her cheekbones.
7. We’ve always loved Julia Roberts’ as a blonde. A shot soft shade like this will make a fair complexion look extra-creamy.
8. Daria Werbowy’s sultry eye makeup was the perfect look for a night out. Remember, if you feel that black is too harsh for you opt for grey – it’s a subtle way to smoulder.
