The latest wines in Stellenbosch Hills’ eponymous range have been released and consists of a ‘magnificent seven’ range of red and white wines that include five wines from their 2016 harvest. Take a look at a few details about the range below and what to pair them with when indulging on wine Wednesday or any other special occasion this season.

Stellenbosch Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2018

is a full-bodied and crisp wine, notable for its lime zest acidity. It’s best served chilled, with fresh oysters, grilled fish and a salad of tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella.

Stellenbosch Hills Merlot 2016

This full-bodied wine demonstrates good tannin integration, a concentrated mid-palate and bursts with red, blackberry and mulberry flavours. It’s best enjoyed with roast beef, roast lamb or a beef stew.

Stellenbosch Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Favours ripe blackberries, plum and black current characters with a subtle nuance of French oak spice, vanilla and cigar box. Best served with pasta or any red meat dish.
