It seems while Donald Trump is a known fan of Adele’s music, the singer doesn’t share his sentiments.
The 27-year-old Hello singer has recently spoken out through her publicist to ban the Republican candidate, and any politician, from using her music in their campaigns.
Trump is said to have used her famous tracks Skyfall and Rolling In The Deep to create hum at rallies before he steps onto the podium to deliver speeches.
The campaign tactic sparked outrage from angry Adele fans who took to social media to complain about the largely disliked politician’s use of her music. She then took heed from her followers and put her foot down, banning the use of her music as a political promotion.
Her spokesperson told The Independent “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”

One for controversy, this isn’t the first time an artist bans Trump from using their music. Former Aerosmith lead-singer Steven Tyler made sure not to be associated with Trump by going as far as issuing a cease and desist letter to Trump’s campaign committee after he persistently used the Aerosmith song Dream On.
After it was played out at Trump’s Iowa event, Adele fans ironically pointed out that Rolling In The Deep contains the lyrics “This is the end” and “You’re gonna wish you never had met me.” which they liken to their feelings on Trump’s steadfast campaign to become the president of the U.S.
While, no one can be certain whether the business mogul will achieve his mission, one thing is sure, he wont be achieving it with the support of many music artists.
