Rihanna just shared adorable new photos and video of her 10-month-old son

Rihanna's son is already his mom's biggest fan.

On March 5, the 35-year-old superstar shared two photos and a video of her 10-month-old son on Instagram, and before you ask, she did not reveal his name. While Rihanna referred to her first child as “baby” throughout their recent Vogue cover story, she called him “my fat man” in her most recent post.

In the first pic, the baby boy can be seen tearing up while looking at the camera, which explains the post's caption, “my son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him.” Rihanna, who revealed her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl performance in February, will soon be returning to the stage at The Academy Awards on March 12.

This year, Rihanna is also nominated for her first Oscar, and her son is clearly rooting for her. In the third slide, a younger version of the little boy appears completely enraptured by footage of his mom.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child in May 2022 but didn't share his face with fans until he was seven months old. “They’re keeping things low-key so they can enjoy their little family,” a source told Entertainment Tonight in August 2022. “Privacy has become increasingly important to the couple. When it was just the two of them, they’d go out all hours of the day and night, and interact with fans. Now, with the baby, they’re a little more protective.”

In her recent interview with Vogue, Rihanna revealed that she and her partner did not hire nannies when they first brought their son home from the hospital. “We came home [from the hospital], cold turkey, had no one,” she told the publication. “It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part.”

Rihanna described giving birth as a “beautiful” experience but also a complete “head fuck.”

“I cannot believe it. Essentially, from one person I became two,” she said. “You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts. And oh my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to.”

Rihanna continued, “You’re just going through the motions and even then you’re so paranoid. Because you’re like: They trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us?” She started laughing: “No doctors, no nurses, we’re just…going home?”

Mornings became the “Diamonds” singer's favorite part of the day. She said, “I remember in the beginning I used to roll his bassinet into the bathroom and be showering and like wiping the fog off [the glass] just to peep at him."
