If she could change anything about her life, Lindsay Lohan would never have driven her car while intoxicated.
The troubled actress – who was arrested twice for the offence in 2007 and has subsequently endured a string of legal problems stemming from the probation set for the convictions and has been in rehab nine times – knows her actions were wrong and will never drive drunk again.
Asked what one thing about her life she would change, she said: “I would never have got behind the wheel of a car after having a drink. Ever.”
Lindsay – who is currently starring in West End play Speed-the-Plow– has become well known for her personal problems and partying lifestyle which have overshadowed her career in recent years, and while she admits she lost “focus”, she is now determined to get back on track because she finds work “therapeutic”.
She explained in an interview with Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “Acting is what I do, it’s therapeutic for me, it’s fun for me. Yes it’s my job but I never went into it because it was like work, I got into it because it made me happy. At the end of the day that’s the most important thing. The diligence and focus you have to have, that I maybe lost sight of for a little bit… Well I’m prepared now to deliver and all I can do is my best.”
Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey turned up in London to watch her perform in the play on Saturday night.
The troubled star, who fluffed her lines on the opening night last week, received a “blessing” from her “fairy Godmother” after the 60-year-old star turned up at the West End production to offer her support.
Taking to her Instagram account, Lindsay posted a photograph of herself and Oprah, alongside the caption: “The definition of a blessing. Thank you @oprah and @Lupita_Nyongo for seeing the show tonight. Love you xx (sic).”
The flame-haired beauty, 28, then added a similar picture to her Twitter account with the message: So thrilled to have @Oprah and @Lupita_Nyongo in the audience tonight. Im a lucky girl! Xxo #myfairygodmother (sic).”
However, Oprah and 12 Years A Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o weren’t the only ones supporting Lindsay last night as her mother Dina also turned up.
She posted a picture of Dina, 52, on Instagram with the caption: “My beautiful mum supporting me! What a blessed life I’ve found.
