How to: Edible Christmas decor

Eat Your Table Decorations!

Yes, you read that right.

If you are decorating a table for Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas day lunch,  a New Year’s Eve party or a friends and family summer get-together, why not scrap the traditional tinsel and baubles, and opt for some fresh, décor by using colourful, juicy and delectably edible stone fruit.

Below are just a few visual examples of how you could cut a decorative dash with peaches, plums and nectarines.  They’re so effective as a main centrepiece or could make a fun and unique party placement for guests.

Wrap up individual fruit in a brown paper bag tied up with ribbon, or add their name to it and use it as a place setting.

Stack peaches, plums or nectarines; or a combination of all three

fruits, onto a wooden platter as a centrepiece.

Place stone fruit around a jar or vase filled with fresh flowers to

add some colour or a candle for some ambience.

Combine stone fruit with flowers to add some extra freshness.

Not only impressive but also practical (you won’t have to tidy up tinsel and sparkle afterwards), and deliciously healthy – you could set the newest décor trend with stone fruit.
