PICS: Why we won't be forgetting Casa Corona Festival anytime soon

If you have ever been to The Nirox Sculpture Park in Gauteng, you definitely know it's one of the best spots to just chill and hang and appreciate both art and nature, add a mix of one of our current favorite drinks Corona and we have the perfect outing. That is the exact feeling we had this past weekend when the inaugural Casa Corona experience kicked off to mark the Winter Solstice on Friday  21st June. The 2019 Winter Solstice took centre stage as a select number of guests took in the breath-taking sunset that heralds the official count-down to Summer in the Southern Hemisphere as days get longer with each passing day.

From iPhonography tutorials, outdoor movie experiences, Corona cocktail-making classes to a silent concert experience, the event was well curated to ensure that those who chose not to hibernate in winter, really live it up Corona style. To say it was epic isn't an exaggeration, it really was.

It was a weekend-long lifestyle experience filled with artistry in the form of music, photography, food, and mixology; all brought together under a stunning atmospheric sunset of the Winter Solstice.

Guests across the three-day winter outdoor experience found their sunset through a film screening under the open sky, serenading sounds from Botswana born Mpho Sebina and food lovers were served a Latin-American cuisine.

Social media was buzzing throughout the weekend as the Casa Corona community celebrated the Winter Solstice in style using the hashtag #FindYourSunset.
