Jared Followill has us roaring!

With Kings of Leon now on tour through South Africa, we can’t help but swoon over bass guitarist (and total stud) Jared Followill. Rumoured to be single at the moment, Alisa Torres and Ashley Greene are two of several celebs who could not keep their paws off this heartbreaker. We can’t blame them though; with ice-blue eyes and dark, thick hair, who would be able to resist this scruffed up hottie? Luckily for us, he’s right here in South Africa!

With performances originally cut short, the American rock band is now set to play in Cape Town this Wednesday, October 26th and in Johannesburg on Saturday, October 29th. After a very public breakdown months ago by Jared’s brother and lead singer, Caleb, the group fortunately decided to continue their world tour.

Prior to becoming worldly rockers, this four-man-band is made up of three brothers and cousin who began recording their tunes in Tennessee. Named for their Grandfather Leon, this Platinum-selling band released their fifth album, Come Around Sundown, in 2010.

Songs like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody” shot this indie group up the charts with a total of nine top 40 hits since 2008. Although the rockstars were originally scheduled to play last March, ticket holders were urged to hold on to their tickets. Once the new dates were announced, remaining tickets sales soared. It seems that South Africans cannot wait for KOL’s upcoming gigs. Three local performers, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Shadowclub and The Black Hotels, will rock along side Caleb, Nathan, Jared, and Matthew in both cities.

Not only are we super excited, it seems that Jared can’t wait to jam out as well. He tweeted a couple days back saying, “On the third leg (hehe) of the journey. London to Cape Town. Take me in , South Africa.”  Known for his boyish charm off stage and rocker charisma while on, Jared has all of us anticipating phenomenal performances this week.
