Q Um, this is embarrassing but I’ve got a few dark hairs on my chin. What can I do?

Everyone has hair on their faces. Often it’s fine and light but many women experience thicker, darker hair in certain areas. If the hair growth is excessive, see your doctor as it may be linked to a medical condition. Otherwise, it could be genetic and you can look at ways of removing it safely. Shaving is not an option – the last thing you want is stubble. Plucking is ideal for a few stray hairs, but laser is usually recommended if you have a more severe case. It needs to be done by qualified technician and three to six sessions are required-you’ll pay approximately R500 per session. The darker your hair, the better the results.
