Katy Perry hands out marriage advice… to a stranger!

We’re all for female solidarity here at GLAMOUR, but singer Katy Perry might just have taken it one step too far when she crashed a stranger’s hen party at hotspot Mahiki nightclub in London.

The Part of Me  singer – who split from Russell Brand in December 2011 after just 14 months of marriage –crashed Laura Cooney’s hen party on Saturday night and told her, “Don’t do it”. Laura said, “We were drinking in Mahiki and Katy was dancing nearby. She ran up to me, saying “Don’t do it, don’t get married!”

“I said, ‘I thought you’d say that!” She suddenly caught herself and said, ‘No, really..congratulations.’ She chatted to me for about 10 minutes. She wished me luck.”

Katy was left angry and hurt by the end of her marriage to Russell, 36, and pals of the singer don’t believe that she will be able to remain friends with the British comedian in the wake of their separation. A friend told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Things aren’t great between Russell and Katy and the likelihood of them staying friends dims by the day.” Katy, who tied the knot to Russell in India in October 2010, appeared to speak out against marriage on Monday, saying “Let me tell you about permanence – it doesn’t exist.”

While nothing saddens us like the demise of a marriage, perhaps Katy ought to stick to her circle of friends to vent her feelings!
