This past week, it was announced that Beiersdorf AG, the owners of Nivea, would be suing Koni Multinational Brands, owned by actress Connie Ferguson. The German cosmetics giant is alleging that Ferguson is passing off some of its mens care products as that of Nivea’s.

Connie has yet to speak on the matter, but devoted fans have come forward to defend the beauty mogul. Supporters of Connie Body Care, shared tweets about how much they love the product, and even pledged their allegiance to brand Ferguson by using the hashtag – #HandsOffConnie.

You’re telling me people aren’t able to read which product is which because you believe they look the same? How stupid do you think and believe your consumers are? #HandsOffConnie

Big Brands are not bothered until you become a strong competitor, they are using litigation and accusation towards @Connie_Ferguson trying to frustrates her but little do Nivea know that is giving her exposure, It is time for Small Businesses to claim market share #ConnieBodyCare https://t.co/23Kjkiwrv3

Mme @Connie_Ferguson has been nothing but a hardworking woman who has built the #ConnieBodyCare range from scratch. Her hands on approach is highly commendable.Starting a business is not easy, especially for a black woman.which is why it’s important we stand with her & support

You’re coming after #ConnieBodyCare for similar colours of ONE bottle?? Have you seen the rest of the line or is having a black woman producing her own body care range that threatening to your company? #HandsOffConnie
