adidas Originals has dropped their newest and one of their most undeniably cool sneakers. Introducing Deerupt — a contemporary take on the adidas heritage realized in a radically new look.
The name is a combination of disrupt and erupt, but the design itself takes mainly from vintage running styles, more specifically the adidas Marathon TR, which featured a signature webbing on the sole for a more even energy dispersion. This web-like look has been adapted for the new Deerupt, which features the same look over the entirety of the shoe. With the original technical aspects in mind, the three stripes brand has created a new sleek runner-inspired silhouette, which features ultra-lightweight construction, knitted uppers and stretchable grid netting across the entire silhouette, to create a completely new profile and aesthetic. But Deerupt holds the grid as its central design principle. The result is a product with a unique benefit: a shoe that suits its owner ensuring ultimate comfort and still looking fashion-forward. Deerupt launched in the hero colourway Solar Bird, a combination of two iconic adidas tones: Solar Red and Bluebird. This is a shoe made to be seen and snapped for the ‘gram.
The Deerupt silhouette is now available worldwide.
