My celeb beauty crush this week is Victoria Beckham’s messy ponytail she was spotted wearing at a launch in Dublin. This simple and chic ‘do, which she teamed with dramatic eyes and a subtle sheen on her lips and cheeks, is much more relaxed than what we’ve come to expect from VB, but I simply love it.

First line your top and bottom lashes (both along the outside of the lashes and along tear line) with a black kohl pencil. Start with a sharpened pencil, and build-up slowly making sure you fill-in any gaps between your lashes, continue the line right into the corners of your eyes. If you want extra drama, you could go over the top line with liquid liner.
Then curl your lashes, and apply at least two coats of volumising mascara. Brush your brows into place, and set with brow gel.
For the lips, choose a glossy lipstick with a subtle shimmer a shade or two darker than your natural lip colour (you want to keep your lips natural, as the eyes are so strong).
Finally, the easiest way to achieve that gorgeous sheen on the cheeks is to use just a few smudges of the lipstick you used on your lips. This will give your a glossy, healthy glow better than a blush could. Smile, and apply the lipstick to the parts of your cheeks that pop out (the apples). Blend the colour with your fingers, sweeping upwards and outwards toward the temples.
And voila! You’re ready to bend it like Mrs Beckham!
