These were the top beauty brands and influencers of 2021

The team at Cosmetix has been on a mission to discover exactly what the global beauty industry looks like today. The company just released their 2021 Cosmetify Index, presenting everything beauty-related for the year - from the top 10 hottest beauty brands, the most powerful beauty influencers, the highest-search beauty brand in each country, and those that look to be in the outs for the coming year.

On a global level, Huda Beauty, founded by Iraqi-American makeup artist and beauty influencer Huda Kattan, came out as the biggest beauty brand of the year.

Kylie Cosmetics also made the list, as did skincare and natural beauty conglomerates Lush and The Body Shop. In South Africa, Avon grabbed the top spot while American beauty influencers James Charles and Bretman Rock continued to hold star power online.
