If there’s one thing that transforms an outfit it's jewellery. The way you accessorise can say a lot about your character - it’s the subtle details that make things personal and sentimental.
Pandora certainly thinks so too, and their new Pandora ME collection reflects this to the fullest. With ambassadors such as internet sensation Addison Rae, fashion rule-breaker Charlie XCX, dancer and content creator Donté Colley, TikTok star Cecilia Cantarano, and musical artist Beabadoobee, the brand’s newly relaunched Pandora ME campaign could not be more encouraging of embracing who you are.
Comprised of chunky chain bracelets and necklaces with interchangeable links, mix-and-match metals, stackable rings, and mini dangle charms full of symbolism and inspiration, the collection speaks to a Gen Z crowd - a wearer who’s immersed in the world of fashion, music, and online culture.
Pandora ME is all about expression and creativity. It encourages the wearer to be fearless and free, expressing who they are without limits. I love that the pieces can be adorned with words such as ‘dream’, ‘believe’, ‘peace’, and ‘blessed’ as a reminder to always keep a positive outlook.
I especially like the industrial look and feel of the collection. With its hardware metal and chain-link designs, the pieces can take you from day to night - just add a few charms or a pop of colour for something more vibrant and fun.
“We were inspired by the idea of connecting with a collective of people, driven by creativity and imagination. The collection’s endless possibilities of styling and personalisation are a catalyst for self-discovery and allows everyone to create personalised looks that represent who they are,” says Pandora’s creative directors, Fillipo Ficarelli and Francesco Terzo.
Carla Luini, Pandora’s chief marketing officer, says: “Pandora ME has been reinvented to reflect the wearer’s identity and bring our brand DNA and heritage into the future. We know the highly creative and powerful Gen Z’s express who they are through music and fashion, so we have combined these loves to inspire our fans to share their voices as individuals but also stand together as an empowering community in South Africa and around the world.”
Other stand-out elements from the collection? The mini dangles play on the digital generation’s love of emojis with a smiley face, banana, and fire symbol, while the medallions, which take their cue from ancient mythological symbols, tap into the idea of harnessing your inner power. Organic touches such as pearls and pops of electric blue and pink add an unexpected twist to certain pieces.
Ultimately, Pandora ME is made for those who not only care about what their jewellery looks like, but also what it means and feels like.
Pandora ME is currently available in stores and online at Pandora worldwide. Now you too can embrace your unique style with versatile jewellery that speaks to your core.
