South African actress and media personality Khanya Mkangisa has officially joined the cast of Young, Famous & African for its highly anticipated fourth season, marking her reality TV debut on the global Netflix platform. Mkangisa becomes the third new cast member confirmed for the upcoming season, alongside South African DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee and Nigerian entrepreneur and reality TV personality Kiddwaya, both of whom are also new additions to the show.
Young, Famous & African is Netflix’s first pan-African reality series, offering an inside look into the glamorous, complex lives of some of the continent’s most influential celebrities, creatives and entrepreneurs. Set primarily in Johannesburg, the show follows its cast as they navigate fame, friendships, relationships, business ambitions and personal growth, all against a backdrop of luxury, success and high-stakes drama
Since its debut, the series has become a cultural phenomenon, praised for spotlighting African excellence while delivering the kind of unfiltered entertainment that keeps viewers hooked season after season. Each new cast shake-up brings fresh dynamics, and Season 4 is shaping up to be no different. With Khanya Mkangisa’s transition from scripted television to reality TV, Prince Kaybee’s entry as one of South Africa’s most recognisable music figures, and Kiddwaya’s larger-than-life personality rooted in business and celebrity culture, audiences can expect a season filled with new energy and evolving storylines.
The upcoming season is currently being filmed in Johannesburg, further cementing the city’s status as the heartbeat of the series. While excitement continues to build, Netflix has not yet released an official premiere date for Season 4.
