Tyla is keeping the momentum, the South African global sensation has just released a brand-new EP titled WWP, and it’s already causing a stir. With four tracks that blend Amapiano, Afro-pop, dancehall, and reggae influences, Tyla proves once again that her sound is fresh, genre-bending, and built for global charts.
Taking to Instagram, the Water hitmaker excitedly announced the EP’s release and shared her excitement about finally securing Nigerian superstar Wizkid for a feature. Known for his iconic collaboration with Beyoncé on Brown Skin Girl, Wizkid brings his smooth, laid-back magic to the track Dynamite, one of the EP’s standout songs. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, creating a rich sonic experience that’s equal parts seductive and rhythmic.
The EP also includes Bliss and Is It, two tracks that have already been buzzing on social media and building anticipation for this release. Tyla confirmed that WWP is just the beginning, this is the first part of a bigger mixtape project, meaning fans (a.k.a. Tygers) can look forward to more music soon.
But that’s not all. Tyla is making major career moves beyond the music. She recently made history as the first African artist to host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and has lent her voice to the Smurfs soundtrack, in which Rihanna stars in the leading role.
From Johannesburg to the world, Tyla is rising fast, and doing it with style, confidence, and authenticity. Her sound, her look, and her global appeal continue to set her apart. One thing’s for sure: our Joburg girl is not here to play. She’s carving out her space in the global pop landscape, and we love to see it.
