GLAMOUR: How do you start your day?

First thing I do is say a prayer and be grateful for another day of life. I then get up and get the girls dressed while drinking coffee prepared by darling(husband). I always play an inspiring and upbeat tune to get the energy going. We then go down and have breakfast and if all goes well I’ll get time to workout or dance with the girls.

GLAMOUR: What does your typical "working out from home" routine entails?

My kids, a good upbeat playlist, my PUMATRAC app workouts and space to dance it out. As it’s winter in the UK this is indoors, however when it gets a bit brighter I’ll go for a run.

GLAMOUR: What training/fitness principles do you live by and why?

Consistency

It’s so important to consistently and regularly move your body to keep the momentum going.

Rest and recovery

Burnout and body stress is a real thing. Our bodies need to have rest days so that our muscles can repair and rebuild. Recovery periods are also great for mental well-being so you don’t get over obsessed or too tired.

Progression

Gradual progress is key. Gradually increasing your fitness levels is a great way to see improvement.

Respect reality

Set realistic goals based on your lifestyle. There is always time for some exercise so make sure you do workouts you enjoy so you don’t ever make excuses. However I’ve got a baby and a 3 year old so long gym sessions are out the picture for now. Be the very best you can be with the time you have available.

GLAMOUR: With the pandemic and lockdowns, it's hard to stay motivated right now, how do you keep going?

I wake up and choose me. I do daily affirmations to give me that extra push. Another thing I love doing and is listening to uplifting music which keeps me going. My biggest motivation is my girls, they push me to be the best version of myself.

GLAMUR: You must have your hands full as a mother of two, how do you plan for some "me time " and do you follow a strict diet?

My beautiful girls keep me so busy so I have been smart about making time for things that fill up my cup. When it comes to time out I love going for runs in the morning when the weather allows and I always come back feeling great. Hubby works from home so if he is on a coffee break during the day, I head to the “bathroom” to sit in there for 5min just for a moment of silence. The girls sleep every afternoon so I make the most of my time then. Chris takes the lead on the weekends so I can have some proper chill time.

I’m not on any strict diet, I’m fueling my body with what it needs and I make sure I eat so that my body and brain can function while also being able to breastfeed successfully.

GLAMOUR: Words or rules you live by?

Love your beautiful body
