The marquees you need to experience at the Vodacom Durban July

Pic: Instagram/ChaiseLounge The countdown has begun. South Africa’s biggest horse-racing event, the Vodacom Durban July, returns to the Greyville Racecourse in exactly 30 days (6 July), for its 11th edition.

This year’s theme, is Stars of Africathat ‘shine at night, lighting the skies so mystically bright, they sparkle on throughout the day, showing themselves in a different way.’ So fitting because if there is on thing Africans do well is shine, day or night—in every sense—and we certainly do show ourselves in a different way. We’ll get to witness this and so much more, at the most anticipated horse-racing event in SA. Yes, it's a horse-racing event, but its more about the red carpet, the who’s who and the exclusive hospitality lounge experience.

The Chaise Lounge

The Glenlivet Jazztown is where 5-star hospitality meets live jazz entertainment from some of SA’s most prolific musicians. This year, it’s reached for one of Africa’s brightest stars, singer, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, who will be gracing the Glenlivet JazzTown stage for the very first time.  Last year’s line-up included SA’s top afro jazz musos such as Nomfundo Xaluvu, Thandiswa Mazwai, Ringo Madlingozi, Bokany Dyer and Vusi Nova.
