Youtuber Jackie Aina has called out Jeffree Star for being ‘racist’

It’s 2018 and we don’t have flying cars or the ability to live forever – but what we do have is a whole load of YouTuber drama to fill all of our spare time with. Can we get a reality series already?

Makeup mogul Jeffree Star has already been called out once recently for wearing cornrows during a holiday campaign photoshoot as well as reigniting his long-standing feud with Kat Von D, and now he’s being targeted again by fellow YouTuber, Jackie Aina for what she deems to be racist behaviour.

Beauty blogger Aina took to Twitter to relieve her frustrations, penning an open letter about why we shouldn’t be tolerating this behaviour “just because we like the way they blend eyeshadow.”

She wrote:

“I have not and will not excuse his blatantly racist behaviour and — not his past references to me in derogatory terms, his use of the N word nor his efforts to eliminate spaces and opportunities for people of colour. No one in the community should feel like they are protected enough to continuously say things to make black women feel ugly and ashamed in their own skin.”

Jeffree hasn’t responded to the comments, but that’s probably because he blocked Aina in 2017 after they had a similar altercation and exchanged a couple of shady tweets. A standard day for Jeffree.

Aina had made an “Anti Haul” video in which she mentioned Jeffree’s products and said: “I just have a deep issue with the anti-black comments and things that have been made public and in addition to that, have not been addressed.”

Not only that, but Jeffree’s ex-hairstylist Daved Anthony Munoz, showed footage of Jeffree openly referring to Aina as a “gorilla”- despite the fact he already has a pretty big history of using derogatory terms.

Will he ever learn?
