What does it mean to truly step into your glow? For Malondié founder Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba, it begins long before the clothes are chosen. It starts with how a woman feels in her own skin.
This idea sits at the heart of Malondié’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Power of She, created in partnership with Vaseline Cera-Glow. Set to be unveiled on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at Pere House in Midrand, the fashion experience brings together fashion, beauty and self-expression around a shared belief: that confidence is cultivated from within and expressed outwardly through the way we care for ourselves and choose to show up.
At the centre of the partnership is the idea of “skin styling” — seeing skin as the first layer of an outfit. When skin is glowing and nourished, it becomes part of the foundation for confidence. Layer that with clothes that make you feel good, and the result is an expression of self that needs no permission.
For Malondié and Vaseline Cera-Glow, this is less about prescribing what beauty or power should look like and more about creating space for women to define those things for themselves.
The Power of She
For Londeka, Power of She is a celebration of the many ways women can exist, lead and shine. Rather than defining power through a single image, the collection explores the complexity of womanhood through light — drawing on the bold radiance of the sun and the delicate glow of the firefly.
1. Let’s unpack the ‘Power of She’ especially during Women’s Month?
Power of She is a celebration of womanhood in all its complexity.
I didn’t want to define what a powerful woman should look like, because I don’t think there is one definition. She can be ambitious, nurturing, creative, determined, soft, resilient or all of those things at once. What matters is that she is able to own her identity and embrace the stories that make Her.
The collection explores that through the idea of light. The sun and the firefly became important symbols for me because they represent two very different kinds of radiance. One is bold and impossible to miss, while the other can be delicate and unexpected. Both have the ability to illuminate.
That felt like such an honest reflection of women. We don’t all shine in the same way, and we shouldn’t have to.
Women’s Month gives us a beautiful opportunity to celebrate those differences and recognise the many forms that women’s strength can take.
2. Why did Vaseline Cera Glow feel like the right partner for this collection and the broader Malondie Vision?
There was a natural connection between the idea of Power of She and what Vaseline Cera Glow represents.
This collection is about glowing, but not simply in a visual sense. It’s about the feeling of being comfortable enough in yourself to let your personality come through. Vaseline Cera-Glow brings that idea into the beauty space through the ritual of caring for your skin and embracing a healthy-looking glow.
For Malondie, detail is everything. We think about the fabric, the construction, the finishing and ultimately how the woman feels when she puts the garment on. Cera-Glow brought another dimension to that conversation.
It allowed us to explore the idea that the experience of getting ready, your skin, your beauty rituals, your clothes and the way you carry yourself, can all be part of the same expression of self.
That’s what made the partnership feel considered in a way where synergy was at the forefront.
3. What excites you most about bringing together a fashion and beauty partnership like this one and what conversations do you hope in inspires?
I love that fashion and beauty can meet around the everyday experience of being a woman.
We often separate the two industries, but in reality they’re both part of the way we present ourselves and, more importantly, the way we experience ourselves. There is something very personal about getting ready for your day, preparing for an important moment or simply doing something that makes you feel good. It is an act of self-care and self-love.
That’s where I think the conversation becomes interesting.
With Malondie and Vaseline Cera-Glow, we’re able to look at the woman beyond the final image. The clothes are one part of the experience; caring for your skin and creating those personal rituals are another.
I hope it encourages women to think about beauty and style as forms of self-expression rather than a checklist of things they need to do to look a certain way.
4. As the final look leaves the runway, what is the one feeling or message you hope guests carry with them?
I want them to leave with a sense of possibility.
I want someone to see the collection and think about the woman she is becoming, a woman made by her past, present and future.
Power of She is ultimately an invitation to recognise your own presence. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room to have an impact, and you don’t need anyone else to define what your light looks like.
The fashion, the atmosphere and the beauty elements are all there to create that feeling.
If guests leave feeling a little more connected to themselves, in a way that encourages them to embrace their power, then the collection has done what I wanted it to do.
5. As someone who follows her glow, what’s your message to the Glamour woman who wants to step into her glow?
Start by listening to yourself.
I think we’re very good at looking outward for answers, at other women, other careers, other people’s timelines and ideas of what success should look like.
But your glow becomes much clearer when you stop trying to measure yourself against someone else and rather focus on the light you bring into spaces.
Follow Your Glow is really about trusting that instinct. It is about pursuing the things that feel aligned with who you are and allowing yourself to grow along the way.
If I could give the Glamour woman one piece of advice, it would be this: the brightest light you will ever carry is your own. Protect it, nurture it and don’t make it smaller just to make other people comfortable.
6. Please offer us a little teaser of what we can expect from the fashion experience?
Expect to enter the world of Power of She before you see the first look.
The collection has a very strong emotional and visual story, so we wanted the reveal to feel immersive rather than simply being a traditional runway presentation. There are details throughout the experience that speak to the ideas of light, radiance and femininity.
Vaseline Cera Glow is an integral part of that story, so the relationship between fashion, beauty and the idea of glow will be felt throughout the experience rather than appearing as an afterthought.
And then, of course, there are the garments. We’ve been very intentional about creating a collection that feels distinctly Malondie while allowing the inspiration behind Power of She to come through.
Where Skin Meets Style
For Vaseline Cera-Glow, the partnership builds on an existing relationship with Malondié, with the brand returning this year as the title sponsor. Andiswa Mtshali, Experiential Lead for Vaseline Cera-Glow, speaks to the alignment between the two brands and the confidence that sits at the centre of the collaboration.
1. Collaboration with MaLondie: Why MaLondie?
We partnered with Ma londie last year and immediately saw a natural synergy between our brands. Following the success of that collaboration, Vaseline Cera -Glow proudly returns this year as the title sponsor.
What makes Ma londie such a strong partner is its authenticity and purposeful storytelling. Every collection celebrates confidence, individuality and self -expression, values that align closely with Vaseline Cera -Glow.
At Vaseline Cera -Glow, we believe glowing skin is about more than appearance. It’s about confidence and showing up as your best self. Fashion does the same.
Bringing these two worlds together felt like a natural fit because both brands empower women to fee l confident in their own skin.
2. What can we expect from the fashion experience on the 29th?
Guests can expect a vibrant celebration of fashion, beauty and culture. A key highlight will be the return of the Glow Dolls, showcasing the exclusive Ma londie x Vaseline Cera -Glow capsule collection, including new faces alongside a Glow Doll from last year’s showcase.
As title sponsor, Vaseline Cera -Glow will have a strong presence throughout the event, with interactive brand experiences, immersive activations and photo -worthy moments for guests to enjoy.
Set in a beautiful outdoor venue, the experience is designed to be engaging and dynamic, with entertainment and partner activations adding to the overall atmosphere.
3. From a storytelling perspective, what conversations have emerged and which ones would you like to continue?
One of the most exciting conversations has come from the Glow Doll community itself. There’s genuine excitement around seeing these inspiring women come together, and we’ve seen audiences eager to celebrate and support them.
Going forward, we’d love to continue the conversation around confidence, self -expression and skin pride. We want women to feel comfortable in their own skin, embrace their individuality and celebrate their unique glow.
If this collaboration encourages more women to show up confidently and unapologetically as themselves, then we’ve achieved something truly meaningful.
4. Can we speak to the significance of launching the collection during Women’s Month?
The SS26 collection, Power of She, draws inspiration from the women who shape our lives and communities every day. Londeka has spoken about being inspired by women such as her mother and the impact of seeing women show up confidently in their work and in society.
That message aligns beautifully with what we want to celebrate during Women’s Month. It’s a time to recognise the strength, resilience and confidence that women demonstrate daily, whether at work, at home, in business or in their communities.
For Vaseline Cera -Glow, this collaboration is an opportunity to celebrate women who embrace their individuality and show up authentically as themselves. Launching the collection during Women’s Month allows us to honour those stories while reinforcing the idea that confidence, self - expression and personal glow deserve to be celebrated every day.
5. The idea of “glow” can mean different things to people. What helps women feel confident, authentic and comfortable in their skin?
For me, confidence starts with self - care and self - acceptance. It’s about taking the time to invest in yourself, whether that’s caring for your skin, prioritising your wellbeing or simply creating moments in your day that make you feel good.
As a brand, we’re constantly reminded that glowing skin is about more than appearance. It’s about how you feel. When you take care of yourself consistently and intentionally, it often translates into confidence and the way you carry yourself.
I think authenticity comes from embracing who you are rather than trying to fit into someone else’s definition of beauty. When women feel comfortable in their own skin, they’re able to express themselves more freely, whether through fashion, beauty or the way they show up in the world.
That’s what glow means to me: confidence that comes from caring for yourself and feeling empowered to be unapologetically you.
Pamela Mtanga to Host the Experience
Adding another layer of fashion and culture credibility to the experience, South African media personality and style icon Pamela Mtanga has been appointed as host of the Malondié x Vaseline Cera-Glow Fashion Experience.
A familiar face in South African fashion and digital culture, Pamela was named Style Influencer of the Year at GLAMOUR South Africa’s Most Glamorous 2025 awards. Her appointment reflects the shared focus on contemporary African style, beauty and self-expression that runs through the collaboration.
As host, Pamela will guide guests through the immersive experience, introducing the Malondié SS26 collection and the partnership’s focus on the relationship between skincare and fashion. Her role will extend beyond the runway, with the event set to feature interactive beauty activations, Vaseline Cera-Glow installations, curated photo moments and content creation spaces.
The afternoon will also feature live musical performances, including appearances by DJ Mbali Nkosi and Londie London, alongside a special reveal during the showcase.
For Londeka, Pamela’s involvement is a natural extension of the collection’s message.
“Pamela Mtanga embodies everything this collection stands for - boldness, grace, and authentic glow. Having her as our host amplifies the energy of this showcase, and we look forward to revealing a collection that elevates South African luxury fashion,” says Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba, Founder of Malondié.
Pamela herself says the collaboration represents an opportunity to celebrate South African creativity and talent, describing the Malondié SS26 reveal as the culmination of time, resources and a shared vision between the creatives and brands involved.
A New Way to Think About Getting Dressed
At its core, Power of She is not simply about what women wear. It is about how they feel before they step into the room.
The Malondié x Vaseline Cera-Glow partnership proposes a more holistic approach to getting ready: care for your skin, honour your rituals, choose clothes that feel like you, and allow those layers to become an expression of confidence.
Because perhaps the most powerful part of an outfit isn’t the final layer at all.
It’s the woman underneath it.
