2015 Beauty game changers

New beauty trends emerge daily, but most are fleeting and, quite frankly ridiculous. Remember the lip-foiling phase of 2012? Absurd!

But there are a precious few who come into our lives and truly change the way we groom and adorn ourselves. Here are three trends we reckon will be game changers this year.

Face brushes. With launches from Olay, Clinique Babor and of course Clarisonic, sonic brush skin cleansing is now a thing. These clever brushes oscillate and vibrate to rid pores of dirt and oil in a way never before possible. Now GLAMOUR girls can get a facial-like deep cleanse in their own bathrooms in under 5 minutes. Prices range from R400 to over R2000, but fans of the brushes swear they are worth every single cent.

Supplements. We know skin supplements are nothing new, but we have noticed many brands launching new, advanced formulas to give us perfect hair, skin, nails and over health. The most notable of which is the appearance of American beauty supplement brand, Fountain on Clicks shelves. They call them ‘molecules’ and have one for every beauty need, from the detoxing Super Green Molecule to the Hair Molecule that helps hair grow stronger and with more shine. They’ll set you back R300 for 240ml.

Fast acting products. The scientists behind these product re only too aware of what an impatient bunch we are, so have developed the most amazing products, all delivering lightening fast results.

Elizabeth Arden Ceremide Boosting 5-Minute Facial, R795, is a two-phase facial that consists of a Self Foaming Cleanser that is followed by a Replenishing Serum to give you a serious radiance boost.

REN lash Rinse 1 Minute Facial, R470, contains an encapsulated Vitamin C to give you a youthful, dewy complexion in 1 minute flat!

Coined as Hollywood’s facial in a jar, the GlamGlow Youth Mud Tinglexfoliate Treatment, R880, gives you glowing skin in a matter on minutes.
